Is it legal to home school?
- YES! It is absolutely legal to home school your child and to gain assistance for such schooling at Excellent Academy. Parents must provide an education for their child throughout the years of compulsory schooling.
- Under section 7 of the Education Act 1996, home schooling is permitted as an equal status alternative to regular state schools
Can you take your GCSEs and A-Levels having been home schooled?
- Absolutely! Home schooled children can take their IGCSE and A-Level exams as private candidates at an independent exam centre, which Excellent Academy is registered as!
